for the dreamers

thought I’d dive back into the blog with a recent poem, inspired by those who have consistently reminded me to love big and dream big.

be brave

be soft and vast to soak yourself full of

the ugly and the beautiful

our days are one long fever dream

encapsulated in a catapult through

past present future present future past future present—

but wait

pause and feel the breeze on your cheek

have you ever tried to describe what that feels like, the wind brushing against your skin?

us dreamers rely on the stardust and the mist

so that we may

stride

on the breath of life

as we stumble tumbling across

stray feathers and a lost kitten tooth and small flowers that were always meant for your hair

we may forget to breathe

but we keep coming back

for the perplexing quality of life and her many hues of

olive chartreuse teal lime sea forest

green light

we speak all the time but

what are we saying?

and just as importantly

what are we not?

if you think someone’s beautiful, say it

if you love someone, tell them

if you miss someone, let them know

remember and forget and remember again

so here i am, saying it, telling you, letting you know…

and we are magic as we bare our souls to the world!
